A Tourette Syndrome sufferer who hated school while growing up strives to become the teacher he never had in this inspirational Hallmark Hall of Fame drama. As a young boy, Brad began making off noises - impulsive noises that were impossible to suppress. As a result, Brad was tormented by his classmates, and accused by his teachers of intentionally disrupting class. It wasn't long before Brad started to hate school, but then an understanding principal offered just the kind of encouragement the struggling boy needed to turn his life around. Thanks to the good will of one sympathetic educator, Brad decided to become the kind of teacher who favored patience and kindness over authority and control. After being rejected by twenty-four schools, Brad was finally given the opportunity to prove his true worth as a teacher. This is the story of a man who relied on resilience and determination to get through life, and who devoted his existence to helping others like him overcome incredible odds.
the film portrayed a highly accurate depiction of a person going through life with Tourette’s Syndrome.  Typical challenges are presented along with common Brad Cohen, a young man with Tourette’s Syndrome (TS), dreams of a career in teaching.  But, as a child, kids teased him and adults scolded him for his outbursts and tics.  Despite the poor understanding of his condition by most and his father’s lack of acceptance Brad is determined to be a teacher.  When he gets a chance to be a second grade teacher he can finally teach others about TS and show he’s got what it takes to be teacher of the year. Mainstream reactions in response to the disorder.

I think when he was just a child he can’t use a proper language to explain what disorder that he had because he himself didn’t know it either. His father though that it was a mental sickness and didn’t what to do about it. But after the school try to understand and accept him step by step everybody can really understand and know to deal with him. Because he is finally know how to communicate with others and make them understand about his condition. He is confident to say about it and asking for help to make him easier to study at school. Although united states is a high context culture but everyone is really understand about his condition means there is a low context culture too. Because there is no culture that completely high-context or low-context, since all societies contain at least some parts that are both high and low. Because the principal after all want to hear and understand about his condition and give him a same chance like others to get study and anything else. This family friendly film is appropriate for all ages to watch and serves as an excellent educational resource.
